This weekend Avril Lavigne gave fans a peek into the studio she music producer Alex Da Kid have been working in while the singer recovers from a bout of strep throat. In the video featuring Lavigne – along with Alex Da Kid and an unnamed female (who Avril nicknamed “Grizzly Bear”) – she gives a brief tour of Hanson Studios in Hollywood, where she is recording new songs for her 4th album. In her commentary, Avril reports they have been working for ten straight days until 2 am and even 6 am into the morning.

As she posted on her Twitter account earlier in the week, Lavigne still has strep throat – which prevented her from singing for the previous 48 hours under doctor’s orders – but stated she is feeling better and has started to record again.

Thursday evening, Napanee’s Avril Lavigne posted a photo to her Twitter account, showing her wearing a protective mask along with a similarly garbed music producer / song-writer Alex Da Kid. “In the studio with ALEX DA KID.

I’ve got strep throat, but I ain’t stoping (sic) my thing! ” Lavigne’s much anticipated fourth album has been delayed since.

Its expected release date earlier in the year, with some songs being produced by former husband – and Sum 41 lead singer – Deryck Whibley.

Brody Jenner is showing the world his love for girlfriend Avril Lavigne. As he walked the streets of Los Angeles, Jenner, who recently got a Mohawk, showed off another addition in his hair -- an “A” for Avril shaved on the right side of his head, People.com reports. Jenner has changed his appearance to show his love for Lavigne before. In July, the former Hills star proclaimed his love for the singer by getting a tattoo of her name on his left forearm.

Brody’s father, Bruce Jenner, talked to UsMagazine.com about his son’s new hairstyle. "It seems like in today's society, getting tattoos and piercings, changing the hairstyles, going pink and purple and all that, it seems to be their generation," Bruce said. "But hair can grow back! He'll be fine."

Deryck Whibley, lead singer for the group Sum 41 and former husband of Napanee’s Avril Lavigne, was injured and hospitalized after an assault in a Japanese bar. Whibley was reportedly attacked by three unknown people late Thursday, and based on a Twitter post by the band (“sucker punching sucks bunches”) the initial assault caught the Ajax, Ontario singer unaware.

Avril Lavigne may appear to be tough as nails, but this rocker chick has a softer side that she's revealed since making her foray into the fragrance industry. Avril Lavigne started dating Hills star Brody Jenner in February after filing for divorce from her husband, Sum 41 rocker Deryck Whibley, last October. Brody's Hills co-star Audrina Patridge says the two lovebirds couldn't be happier with their relationship.Audrina said: “They’re very happy together, they’re really good together. A lovely couple.”

Audrina also revealed the pop star has fitted in well within their friendship group – because she is such a “nice girl." She exclusively told BANG Showbiz: “I first met her a couple of years ago, and thought she was such a nice girl then. She’s still a really nice girl now, and is really very talented. While we hope there is no audience for it, Avril Lavigne may soon be starring in her own reality TV show with boyfriend Brody Jenner. Jenner, star of faux-reality shows The Hills, The Princes of Malibu and Bromance, is desperately trying to land a deal for the couple but Avril is so far resisting.

One of those trustworthy 'sources' told In Touch Weekly magazine: "Brody has been begging her to do it. She's in love with him so she doesn't want to say no. But she really doesn't want to take her career that direction, either." Carrying on with their unlikely relationship, Avril Lavigne and Brody Jenner stepped out in Los Angeles on Sunday (July 11) for a night out on the town. The young couple kicked off their evening with a romantic sushi dinner before spending the night cutting the rug at My Studio nightclub. Avril are back in LA after spend the week in Las Vegas where Avril proved she’s cool with Brody’s guy friends during a dance party at Las Palmas.

People mag reports that the Canadian-born rockstress “acted super goofy as she danced around, while Jenner and his pals told jokes and made her feel at home.” Brody also got into the carefree spirit.
